Eligibility Criteria for Gordon Henderson Scholarships in 2022

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Gordon Henderson Scholarships:
  • Applicants must commit to working at the HRREC for the whole scholarship duration.
  • By participating in an unique research program that is distinct from past research, the applicant pledges to contribute to the HRREC's development and scholarly activities.
  • The candidate must have completed a PhD degree within the last five years of December 31, 2022, and have submitted his or her thesis by April 30, 2022. Candidates possessing a doctorate from the University of Ottawa or a dual degree program with the University of Ottawa are ineligible.

How to Apply: Interested applicants for the Gordon Henderson Scholarships 2022 should email Viviana Fernandez (Viviana.fernandez@uottawa.ca), Assistant Director of the HRREC, the necessary documents (in English or French):
  • A quick letter of introduction
  • A current curriculum vitae
  • A five-page synopsis of his doctorate dissertation
  • The thesis inspection committee's written feedback
  • A five-page research proposal outlining the postdoctoral project, its goals, and outcomes.
