About the Edusave Scholarship Program
Overview of Edusave Scholarship and Awards:
The Edusave awards and scholarships fall into two categories: academic and non-academic.
Academic Awards
Edusave Scholarship (ES): Available for students from government, government-aided primary and secondary schools, and specialised schools.
Edusave Merit Bursary (EMB):
Edusave Good Progress Award (GPA):
Edusave Scholarship for Independent Schools (ESIS):
Non-academic Awards
Edusave Award for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service (EAGLES):
Edusave Character Award (ECHA):
Edusave Skills Award (ESA): For students from specialised schools, ITE, or polytechnics.
Important Notes
- Each child is eligible for only one Edusave academic award, which includes ES, EMB, or GPA.
- If a child receives EMB after being awarded GPA, they will receive additional funds to match the EMB amount.

Edusave Character Award
Eligibility: Up to 2% of students in each school who demonstrate exemplary character and outstanding personal qualities through their behavior and actions.
Award Amount:
- Primary 1 to 3: $200
- Primary 4 to 6: $350
Edusave Scholarship
Eligibility: Students within the top 10% of their school’s level and course in terms of academic performance, with good conduct.
Award Amount:
- Primary 5 to 6: $350
Edusave Award for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service (EAGLES)
Eligibility:
- Primary 1 to 3: Up to 5% of students who demonstrate good conduct and 21st Century Competencies consistently.
- Primary 4 to 6: Up to 15% of students who demonstrate good conduct and leadership, service, excellence in non-academic activities, or 21st Century Competencies.
Award Amount:
- Primary 1 to 3: $200
- Primary 4 to 6: $250
Edusave Merit Bursary (EMB)
Eligibility:
- Primary 1 and 2: Students with positive learning dispositions, good conduct, and household income below specified limits.
- Other levels: Students within the top 25% academically, with good conduct, and household income below specified limits.
Award Amount:
- Primary 1 to 3: $200
- Primary 4 to 6: $250
Edusave Good Progress Award (GPA)
Eligibility:
- Primary 2 and 3: Students showing the greatest improvement in learning disposition with good conduct.
- Other levels: Students within the top 10% in terms of improvement in academic performance and good conduct.
Award Amount:
- Primary 2 to 3: $100
- Primary 4 to 6: $150
Overview of Awards for Secondary and Specialized Schools
Changes in Eligibility Criteria
Previously, secondary students' eligibility for awards like Edusave Scholarship (ES), Edusave Merit Bursary (EMB), and Good Progress Award (GPA) was determined by their ranks within their level and stream. With the removal of streams under Full Subject-Based Banding, eligibility will now be based on overall performance across different subjects.
Awards Details
Edusave Character Award
- Eligibility: Up to 2% of students in each school who have shown outstanding character and personal qualities through their behavior.
- Award Amount: $500 for Secondary or specialized schools.
Edusave Skills Award
- Eligibility: Up to 5% of penultimate year and 15% of graduating cohort students who demonstrate excellent professional and soft skills, and good conduct.
- Award Amount: $500 for Specialized schools, Crest Secondary School, and Spectra Secondary School.
Edusave Scholarship for Government, Government-Aided, and Specialized Schools
- Eligibility: Students in the top 10% of their school’s level and course in terms of academic performance, with good conduct.
- Award Amount: $500 for Secondary or specialized schools.

- Eligibility: Up to 15% of students from each secondary school who demonstrate good conduct and leadership, service, excellence in non-academic activities, or 21st Century Competencies consistently.
- Award Amount: $350 for Secondary schools; $500 for Specialized schools, Crest Secondary School, and Spectra Secondary School.

- Eligibility: Students in the top 25% academically, with good conduct, and whose household income meets specified criteria.
- Award Amount: $350 for Secondary schools; $500 for Specialized schools.
Edusave Good Progress Award (GPA)
- Eligibility: Students in the top 10% in terms of improvement in academic performance, with good conduct.
- Award Amount: $200 for Secondary schools; $400 for Specialized schools.
Edusave Achievement Award for Special Education Schools
Eligibility: Students in special education schools who meet the school's criteria for the award.
Award Amount: The amount of the award varies between schools. For detailed information, including how your child will receive the award money, please contact your child's school directly.
Edusave Character Award for Junior Colleges and Millennia Institute
Eligibility: Up to 2% of students in each school who have demonstrated exemplary character and outstanding personal qualities through their behavior and actions.
Award Amount: $500 for Junior Colleges or Millennia Institute.
Edusave Award for Achievement, Good Leadership, and Service (EAGLES)
Eligibility: Up to 15% of students from each school who have demonstrated good conduct and leadership qualities, community service, excellence in non-academic activities, or 21st Century Competencies consistently.
Award Amount: $400 for Junior Colleges or Millennia Institute.
Edusave Merit Bursary (EMB)
Eligibility: Students who are within the top 25% academically, demonstrate good conduct, and meet specified household income criteria.
Award Amount: $400 for Junior Colleges or Millennia Institute.
Edusave Good Progress Award (GPA)
Eligibility: Students who are within the top 10% in terms of improvement in academic performance and demonstrate good conduct.
Award Amount: $250 for Junior Colleges or Millennia Institute.

Eligibility: Up to 2% of students in each institution who have demonstrated exemplary character and outstanding personal qualities through their behavior and actions.
Award Amount: $500 for ITE or polytechnic students.
Edusave Skills Award
