A PhD scholarship is a financial benefit that serves to remunerate the student. The contract does not obligate the business to hire you.
PhD scholarship totals €69,991 gross, with an indicative net stipend of €1,200 per month for three years. A budget for research-related expenses is also provided for each PhD student for the three years, plus an additional €600/month for six months during the abroad period.

University of Bologna NRRP PhD Scholarships Criteria for eligibility
The following conditions must be met by applicants to be eligible for NRRP PhD Scholarships at the University of Bologna:
- Candidates must be either domestic or foreign students.
- an undergraduate (second-cycle degree or single-cycle degree program) who will graduate by October 31, 2022 from the University of Bologna or another Italian or foreign university;
- a graduate of the University of Bologna or another Italian or international university (second-cycle degree or single-cycle degree program)
- Candidates must provide evidence of their English language skills.
