  • if you've had the whole course of treatment with AstraZeneca's Vaxzevria or Covishield, BioNtech/Moderna, Pfizer's Sinopharm's Sinovac, OR
  • beginning the day after your first Johnson & Johnson pill on day 22; OR
  • if you have had one dose of the COVID vaccine and have previously had a COVID infection (proof of past infection required)
  • You can enter Austria for 180 days following a SARS-CoV-2 illness as proof of a prior infection. After the test date, the proof of neutralizing antibodies is valid for 90 days.

Rules for quarantine

Upon arriving in Austria, every traveler is required to enter a ten-day (home) quarantine. By taking a PCR or antigen test on day five of the quarantine or later, the quarantine can be ended early. It is not necessary for travelers to self-isolate if they have documentation of the necessary vaccinations or prior infections.
