This MA is based on a proven program that was created in partnership with top human rights advocates to train aspiring human rights professionals.

Modern material examines human rights issues from a practical perspective in addition to a theoretical and legal one. We have several different elective modules available. 

Subjects include cultural genocide, human rights, the Sustainable Development Goals, and other pressing challenges in human rights, such as how environmental damage affects human rights.

Qualifications from the University of London Masters Scholarship

  • A bachelor's degree or other undergraduate degrees from a university that the university accepts and is thought to be at least comparable to a UK upper second class honors degree.
  • You may still apply even if you do not meet the entrance requirements. 
  • The Program Director will evaluate each application individually, paying close attention to alternative credentials and/or relevant experience.
