Applications are invited for the appointment of eligible candidates to the postdoctoral research fellowship program, administered by the government of Canada, to begin work on the research project in the 2022-2023 academic year.

The Canadian government, under the 2022 postdoctoral research program, will provide their candidates with a stipend range for scientific investigators (SE-RES) between US$58,563 and US$113,877.

The 2022 Postdoctoral Research Program is seeking candidates who graduated in the past 3 (3) years of an advanced doctoral degree in the field of Natural Sciences.

Eligibility:


Candidates whose doctoral degree (earned within the last three (3) years) is in another natural scientific field may also be considered for the Postdoctoral Research Program, provided that they hold a bachelor's degree or master's degree in a science field, combined with suitable research, training, and experience.

Candidates who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, and who received their Ph.D., PhD-equivalent, or Health Sciences professional degrees from a foreign university, may hold only their Banting Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at a Canadian institution.

For applicants who completed more than one Ph.D., PhD-equivalent, or health professional degree, the window for eligibility applies to the last one of more than one Ph.D.

Candidates who hold foreign credentials (earned outside of Canada's government) are required to submit evidence of Canadian equivalency.

The research proposed in an SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship application must be substantially different from, or substantially complementary to, the research related to the applicant's Ph.D. dissertation.

or comparable degrees, be employed by a Massachusetts academic or medical research institution, and have completed at least three years, and not more than five years, of full-time, postdoctoral research.

the Indigenous talent measures at SSHRC are intended to support postdoctoral students and researchers applying for the Canadian graduate scholarship programs--

doctoral fellowships, SSHRC doctoral fellowships, or SSHRC postdoctoral fellowships.

Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates must have received their doctoral degree in one of the scientific sciences within the last 3 (three) years.

Applicants who were unable to apply during the 3-year window due to a severe professional delay or interruption may receive special consideration.

If a candidate is presently enrolled in a Ph.D. Program at an accredited post-secondary school, their application will be approved;

but, in order to be appointed to a job, they must also satisfy the educational qualifications.

Candidates with credentials from other countries that were gained outside of Canada must show that they are equivalent in Canada.
